Key Features:

  • Caliber-Specific Fit: Designed for .264" bullets (6.5mm), including 6.5 Creedmoor, 6.5x55 Swede, and 6.5 PRC

  • Large Diameter Option: Accommodates thicker neck walls or custom brass with minimal neck tension

  • Self-Centering Design: Ensures concentric alignment with the case neck

  • Hardened Steel Construction: Built for long-term precision and durability

  • Interchangeable System: Works with RCBS MatchMaster and Gold Medal neck bushing dies

Specifications:

Feature Details
Caliber 6.5mm (.264")
Diameter Range Typically .286"–.295" (varies by brass)
Material Hardened steel
Compatibility RCBS MatchMaster & Gold Medal dies
Item Number Varies by bushing size

Choosing the Right Size:

To determine the correct bushing diameter:

  • Method 1: Measure the outside neck diameter of a loaded round and subtract .002"–.003"

  • Method 2: Measure neck wall thickness × 2, add bullet diameter, then subtract .001"

    • Example: (.015" × 2) + .264" – .001" = .293" bushing

RCBS recommends keeping one size above and below your target for tuning neck tension.

Performance and Application

This bushing is essential for precision reloaders who want to control neck tension and reduce brass fatigue. It’s especially effective for long-range and competition shooters using high-end brass with consistent neck thickness.
