CZ 457 AMERICAN .22WMR 5RND 24" TB
CZ built a reputation on rimfire accuracy that punches well above its price point, and the 457 American is the rifle that reputation rests on. This is the classic American-pattern configuration — a genuine step up from the entry-level rimfire crowd, built for hunters and shooters who actually care about what their rifle can do at real distance.
The cold-hammer-forged barrel is the standout feature here — CZ uses the same demanding manufacturing process on this rimfire that more expensive centrefire rifles rely on, directing the metal's grain structure along the bore for genuinely better accuracy and barrel life than a cheaper button-rifled barrel delivers.
Specs:
Calibre: .22 WMR
Barrel: 24.8", cold-hammer-forged, sporter profile
Muzzle: Threaded 1/2x28, thread protector included
Magazine: 5-round detachable polymer
Stock: American-style Turkish walnut, high flat comb, fleur-de-lis checkering
Safety: Push-to-fire, side-mounted
Scope mounting: 11mm dovetail machined into receiver
Trigger: Adjustable
The threaded muzzle is a genuine practical feature for a rimfire — running a suppressor on a .22 WMR is a serious upgrade for pest control work, cutting noise and recoil signature dramatically for extended fox or rabbit sessions where repeated shots and hearing protection both matter.
The high, flat comb on the American-style stock is deliberately built for scope use — you get a proper cheek weld looking through glass rather than fighting a stock designed around iron sights. CZ's modular barrel system also means this action can be re-barrelled into .22 LR or .17 HMR down the track if you ever want to expand what one rifle can do.
A genuinely serious rimfire for hunters who want real accuracy and the flexibility to run modern accessories, not just a beginner's plinker.
